Krinal Gandhi, OMS II
Krinal Gandhi is currently a second-year medical student at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri. She was born and raised in India and moved to the United States about 11 years ago. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 2021 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science and Psychology. Her healthcare work experiences include being a medical assistant/front-desk worker at a Chiropractic clinic, and she was a scribe, a personal care aide, a private duty assistant, and a personalized living assistant at a senior living facility. These experiences provided her with opportunities to learn more about her interest in medicine. It also strengthened her passion to serve others by becoming a physician.
She is interested in providing primary care, particularly to underserved communities. She believes primary care will allow her to build a long-term, trustworthy, and professional relationship with patients. It will also help her understand the needs of the community. She is also interested in research because it will allow her to explore medicine from a different perspective and help her understand the importance that research has in the growth of the medical field.
In her free time, Krinal enjoys painting, drawing, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family.
