Devvrat Bhakta, OMS II
Devvrat Bhakta is an OMS III student at Kansas City University-Kansas City campus. He is currently completing a rotation in Neuro IR at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He will soon be starting his next rotation in Pediatrics at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. Devvrat grew up in Liberal, a small town in southwestern Kansas. He completed his undergrad at UMKC with a major in Biology with minors in Chemistry, Economics, and Business Administration. He then completed his Master of Business Administration at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. By the end of his time at KCU-KC, he hopes to have received his DO, MPH, and MBA. He is currently working on his Public Health Certificate/Masters of Public Health at the University of Nebraska - Medical Center (UNMC), Omaha, Nebraska.
Devvrat previously worked as a teaching assistant in the anatomy lab at KCU and as a critical care lab technician at Children's Mercy Hospital, Adele Hall Campus. Devvrat hopes to go into Psychiatry eventually, but his interests also lie in Neurology. His end goal is to create his own private practice that is set up as a worker cooperative in the realm of mental healthcare to lead towards better outcomes for patients and healthcare workers.
Outside of academics, Devvrat enjoys reading, producing music, and writing scripts.
