Cassandra Blau, OMS II
Cassandra Blau is a second-year medical student at Kansas City University-Joplin. She serves as Vice President of the Fit Doctors Association, where she helps organize mindfulness events, a running club, and nutrition-based volunteering opportunities. She also enjoys supporting fellow students as a mentor and volunteering as an instructor for an adaptive exercise class. Cassandra is also a mentor for the KCU Peer Assisted Student Success Mentor Program, where she helps support first-year medical student's transition to medical school.
Before medical school, Cassandra attended Davidson College in North Carolina, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2023. She was a scholar-athlete, competing as a sprinter and serving as a team captain for the Women's Track and Field team. Additionally, she held leadership roles in Davidson Dharma, where she promoted meditation and mindfulness.
Originally from Durango, Colorado, Cassandra grew up with her parents and younger brother, spending time exploring the outdoors through skiing, paddleboarding, hiking, and camping. Outside of medical school, she enjoys baking, traveling, running, meditating, and playing soccer with other medical students.
