Tyler McCurry, DO


Dr. Tyler McCurry is an Assistant Professor of Osteopathic Principles and Practices at Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2013. In his current role, he teaches and mentors future physicians. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine. Dr. McCurry has specialized expertise in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Advanced Wound Care, and Hospice & Palliative Care.

Dr. McCurry, in addition to his academic role, is a Medical Director for Hospice of Chattanooga in Cleveland, Tennessee, and the Medical Examiner for Bradley County, Tennessee. He brings extensive outpatient clinical experience, particularly in the management of acute and chronic wounds. He is passionate about translating evidence-based wound care into practical, actionable strategies that physicians can use immediately in practice.

Dr. McCurry completed his residency in Family Medicine at East Tennessee State University Family Medicine Residency in Johnson City, Tennessee. He previously worked at the Tennova Hyperbarics and Wound Treatment Center and owned a private practice facility known as the Tennessee Osteopathic Center.

Dr. McCurry has presented nationally on topics ranging from musculoskeletal medicine to integrative approaches in primary care. He is known for his engaging, interactive teaching style and blends real-world clinical insight with current research to help healthcare professionals improve patient outcomes.

Outside of medicine, Dr. McCurry enjoys life with his wife, Lilian, and their son, Liam. He enjoys reading books, watching movies, or playing board games with his family.
