Kaitlin Bowers, DO
Dr. Kaitlin Bowers is Chair of Emergency Medicine and an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lillington, North Carolina. She is also an Emergency Medicine physician with Wake Emergency Physicians, PA. Dr. Bowers received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where she received the honor of Outstanding Emergency Medicine Resident of the Year, awarded by the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Bowers' interests include undergraduate medical education, simulation, and match rates. She is the creator and Editor in Chief of Med Student Over Easy, a more than medicine podcast designed for medical students with an interest in Emergency Medicine. She also serves as Lead Editor for the blog Academic Life in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Bowers has served in many leadership positions with the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians. She is also a member of the Council of Residency Directors in Emergency Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
