Traci Stevenson, DO
Dr. Traci Stevenson is an Associate Professor at Touro University California, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California. Dr. Stevenson graduated from Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, Michigan, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Chemistry. She then received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Downers Grove, Illinois, where she received the Family Medicine Student of the Year Award. She is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Stevenson is also a Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist and an Institute of Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner.
Dr. Stevenson is a passionate advocate for health equity with a focus on nutrition, food security, and care for the unhoused. She co-leads Touro's Street Medicine Elective, educating future physicians while providing care to local unhoused populations. Together with Dr. Grace Jones, she has developed and integrated a comprehensive culinary medicine curriculum into undergraduate medical education, delivered continuing education workshops, and received multiple grants to further nutrition education in osteopathic medicine and address social determinants of health.
In 2025, Dr. Stevenson was awarded the 2025 Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Award as an exemplar in humanistic patient care and the Margueritte Elliot Innovation in Clinical Education Award by the Society of Osteopathic Medical Education for innovations in undergraduate medical education.
Dr. Stevenson's interests include preventative medicine, integrative nutrition, and curriculum innovation with cultural competency. She is also interested in community outreach and interprofessional education. She enjoys yoga, hiking, and culinary exploration in her free time.
