Martin Peters, DO

Dr. Martin Peters is a board-certified family physician and Site Medical Director at Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center in Newberg, Oregon. He also serves as Co-Regional Director for Medical Education for A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, where he oversees third- and fourth-year medical student clinical training across the Portland metro area. Dr. Peters is leading the development of a new Family Medicine Residency Program at Virginia Garcia, where he will serve as the Program Director. Dr. Peters is a graduate of A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA). He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and minored in German and Business at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. He then completed the Portland State University Post Baccalaureate Pre-Med Program in Portland, Oregon, before attending medical school. Dr. Peters is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Dr. Peters is a member of the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon and the Fellowship of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine.

Dr. Peters' work focuses on improving patient access, advancing primary care training, and strengthening community health through medical education. He enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, and playing sand volleyball.
