Leslie Sim, LP, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Leslie Sim is a professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at the Mayo College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minnesota. She is board-certified in Child and Adolescent Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Sim graduated from the University of Maine in Orono, Maine, in 2002 with a degree in Clinical Psychology. She then completed an internship in Pediatric Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology at St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Sim completed her residency in Medical Psychology at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education and her fellowship in Medical Psychology, Child, Adolescent, and Family Track in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Sim is on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Eating Disorders, which is an organization devoted to advancing eating disorders prevention, education, treatment, and research. Dr. Sim is also a member of multiple other professional associations, including the Academy for Eating Disorders, the American Psychological Association, the Eating Disorder Research Society, and the Thyroid Foundation of America.
Dr. Sim conducts research on eating disorders, chronic pain, and the overlap between these conditions and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles on these topics and others.
