Erin Rains, DO, FCCP
Dr. Erin Rains is the Chief Physician Executive and Chief Medical Officer at Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana. She previously served as the Chief of Hospital and Acute Care and Department Chair for Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at the Billings Clinic. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and her fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Lankenau Medical Center in Penn Wynne, Pennsylvania. Dr. Rains attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia. Dr. Rains is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has experience working in the fields of pulmonary and critical care medicine.
Dr. Rains was named as one of Billings' Best & Brightest – Top 40 Under 40 in 2024. She was also named a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians in 2022. She has several professional affiliations, including being a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Physicians. She is on the Advisory Council for the Rocky Vista University Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine.
