Yolanda L. Williams is the founder of Healthcare Compliance Advisors, LLC. She is passionate about helping healthcare organizations deliver high-quality care while complying with all applicable laws and regulations. She is a subject matter expert and trusted advocate, who is committed to achieving successful outcomes.
As a proactive leader, Yolanda excels in managing multiple priorities and creatively solving problems related to the “Business of Medicine”. With a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola University School of Law, Chicago, coupled with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health and Health Information Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, Yolanda brings a wealth of knowledge to the field of healthcare compliance. She is Certified by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as a Healthcare Privacy and Security professional and holds a Registered Health Information Administrator Certification from AHIMA.
Yolanda has a rich, solid professional history with the AOA, where she excelled in various positions, including Director of Compliance and Physician Advocacy, within the Office of the General Counsel, and as Director of Socioeconomic Affairs. These roles involved providing guidance to the Board of Trustees, managing corporate compliance, advising on coding and payment policy, coveted speaker on salient topics, and more. In 2020 and 2021 she received an American Osteopathic Association Challenge Coin, "to honor those who exemplify exceptional service to the American Osteopathic Association or profession." Included in this honor was being inducted in the AOA's 142 Club.
She also received the National Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Staff Liaison Award from the American Medical Association (AMA) and was named the School of Allied Health Graduate of the Last Decade by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
