Luke Van Kirk, DO
Dr. Luke Van Kirk was raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, New Orleans, Louisiana, and Olathe, Kansas. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Van Kirk graduated from Western University, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. Initially, he wanted to go into emergency medicine but found he loved continuity of care and getting to know his patients. That made family medicine the most obvious choice for him. He completed his residency in Family Medicine with the Cox Family Medicine Residency Program in Springfield, Missouri. His cousin introduced him to direct primary care (DPC) during his residency, and upon graduating in 2015, he opened his own direct primary care office in Springfield, Missouri, called Command Family Medicine. Dr. Van Kirk is also a Sub-Investigator for Sharlin Health Neuroscience Research Center in Ozark, Missouri. Dr. Van Kirk is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Van Kirk is active in his community and is involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Springfield Southeast Rotary Club. He has been married to his wife Danae for 12 years, and they have four kids.
