Hailey Van Ronzelen, OMS III
Hailey VanRonzelen is a third-year medical student at Kansas City University in Joplin, Missouri. She is expecting to graduate in May of 2026 with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Arts in Bioethics. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Nursing from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. She is a member of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) and is a Wetzel Scholar. She attends all MAOPS Board of Trustees meetings, is active in the Young Physicians Network, and has helped plan the Missouri Osteopathic Annual Convention (MOAC). She is also a member of the Missouri State Medical Association (MSMA), where she is the Medical Student Section (MSS) Joplin Representative. She attends their membership committee meetings, attends their annual convention, and has helped establish a working relationship with MSMA and KCU-Joplin.
Hailey is part of the Kansas City University Internal Medicine Club, the Simulation Club, and the New Student Orientation. She worked at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, as a registered nurse and critical care Nurse in 2023 and 2024. Previously, she also worked as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Swedish Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Hailey is a Special Olympics volunteer and assists with the Healthy Athlete Program at events.
In her free time, Hailey likes reading, hiking, biking, cooking new foods, and trying out new workout classes.
