This excellent package of six Psych programs from the VOCCME 2025 offers great insight into a variety of topics. The package consists of topics in Psychopharmacology, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Child and Adolescent Psychology, and Major Depressive Disorder. The excellent faculty for these programs are from all over the country, and they offer great insights into treating patients with various disorders.

Dr. Beaman completed medical school at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He then completed two simultaneous residencies in Psychiatry and Family Medicine at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa. After residency, Dr. Beaman completed a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. After his fellowship, he obtained a Master of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Beaman is board-certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventative Medicine, Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and Forensic Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry.
Dr. Beaman served as the Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Oklahoma State University for eight years before becoming the chair of the School of Forensic Sciences. He is also the Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship Director. While Dr. Beaman was chair of psychiatry, he created the Project Blue Streets Task Force, which established a city-wide protocol for the care of mental health patients and testified against Johnson & Johnson in the State opioid litigation. He is active in research in the areas of motives of criminal behavior, the intersection of methamphetamine and violence, and the epidemiology of Adverse Childhood Experiences.
Dr. Beaman is on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiners and the Midwest Counter Drug Training Center. He was named to Oklahoma Magazine’s “40 Under 40” list in 2017.

Dr. Coffey is an Associate Clinical Professor and Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She completed her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Coffey completed her residency in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, and her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard Medical School Affiliate in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Coffey served as a consultant to the Department of Mental Health in assistance with the implementation of Oklahoma Health Homes. In this line of work, Dr. Coffey is an expert in collaborative care models and best practices of integration and collaboration. Dr. Coffey also served on the executive team as the Director of Clinical Operations for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, Division of Child Welfare in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Coffey is currently the Medical Director for Oklahoma’s Child Psychiatry Access Line and the Behavioral Health Medical Director for OSU’s Health Access Network. She is the Lead of OSU’s Help for the Healer ECHO. Dr. Coffey is board-certified in General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Coffey has been active in various activities and organizations, including the Children’s Advocacy Center of Oklahoma, the National Council of Behavioral Health, the Oklahoma Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Oklahoma Psychiatric Physicians Association, and she’s a member of the Oklahoma Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board.
Dr. Coffey was awarded the Educational Outreach Award in 2012 by the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and she received the Helen Beiser Award in 2011 by the Illinois Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. July K. Jean Cuevas is a native of the Dominican Republic and graduated from medical school at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She worked for several years as a medical provider in Santiago for a hospital foundation, treating children with congenital heart disease, and she was an Assistant Professor at PUCMM. In 2015, Dr. Cuevas completed her residency in Pediatrics at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the South Bronx in New York. This is where she found her passion and calling in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP). She then completed her fellowship in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. After completing her fellowship, she was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Children’s Mercy Kansas City for six years. Dr. Cuevas worked with patients with special needs, who had mental and developmental-behavioral concerns. Dr. Cuevas was the Program Director for the DBP fellowship program from 2022 to 2024.
Dr. Cuevas joined the University of Missouri in the Department of Child Health as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in 2024. She is also a Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrician at the Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment and the Associate Program Director for the DBP fellowship program. She is board-certified in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Cuevas has experience in a variety of neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, and anxiety in children. She enjoys working with all age groups in pediatrics, but birth to 4 years of age is her favorite group. Dr. Cuevas enjoys completing developmental evaluations in young children as well as managing medical and behavioral ADHD and anxiety. Her future research interests include neurodiversity in minoritized groups and access to care for Spanish speakers.
Dr. Cuevas was a 2022 & 2023 Rockstar Hall of Fame recipient and was honored for being among the highest-rated physicians by her patients. She received the Young Physician of the Year Award from the National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA) in 2022.

Dr. Joshua Gaunt completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. He then completed his Master of Business Administration with a concentration on Healthcare from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, and his Master of Biomedical Science from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. He then completed medical school at Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine (ARCOM) in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Dr. Gaunt is currently in the Psychiatry Residency and Child and Adolescent Fellowship Integrated Program at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Dr. Gaunt is an active member of the American Medical Association and the Alzheimer’s Association. He enjoys mentoring and teaching medical trainees. He hopes to one day open a practice where he can implement a clinical model that integrates primary care, mental wellness, and training for future healthcare practitioners. He is the son of two osteopathic physicians and attributes his passion for medicine to being raised around patients and their families in his parents’ medical practice.
In his free time, Dr. Gaunt likes spending time with his fiancé and their two mischievous but lovable canines. He also enjoys swimming at the local health club and practicing yoga.

Dr. Fernando Goes is the Director of the Stanley and Elizabeth Star Precision Medicine Center of Excellence in Mood Disorders at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. His goal in leading the center is to understand better the causes, course, and treatment of severe mood disorders to facilitate the development of better treatments and implement improvements in patient care. Dr. Goes is also the Director of the Mood Disorders Clinic, the Director of the Bipolar Disorders Clinic, and an Associate Professor in the Psychiatry Department at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he also received his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed both his residency and fellowship in Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Goes is board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Goes is a psychiatrist with post-doctoral training in mood disorders and psychiatric genetics. Most of his research focus has been on the genetics of bipolar disorder. He has participated in a number of clinically based genetic studies, where he was involved in patient recruitment, phenotype assessment, and data analysis. Dr. Goes is a psychiatrist who focuses on the study and treatment of severe mood disorders.
Dr. Goes received the Young Investigator Award from the National Alliance for Research of Schizophrenia and Depression. He also received the K00/R00 Transition to Independence Award from the National Institute of Mental Health and the Samuel Gershon Young Investigator Award from the International Society of Bipolar Disorders. He has been on many advisory committees, review groups/study sections, and journal peer-review activities. Dr. Goes is a member of the American Psychiatry Association, the Internal Society of Psychiatric Genetics, the American Psychopathological Association, and the World Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Mandilin Hudson grew up in San Luis Obispo, California. For her undergraduate education, she attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Biology, she attended Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California, where she found her passion in psychiatry. Specializing in psychiatry allowed her the time and expertise to treat patients holistically. Dr. Hudson completed her psychiatry residency through Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Oregon, where she served as Chief Resident in 2012-2013.
Dr. Hudson currently works as a Psychiatrist at Children’s Farm Home, Trillium Family Services, a residential mental health treatment facility for adolescents in Corvallis, Oregon. Dr. Hudson also works in private practice with adolescent and adult patients and is an Assistant Professor at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California, and College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific – Northwest in Yakima, Washington. She also works for the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center Psychiatry Residency program in Corvallis. Dr. Hudson is board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
Dr. Hudson shares her passion for medicine with her husband, who is a cardiologist. She has three children and they enjoy boating, gardening, hiking, biking, and skiing as a family.
