Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) in the ED: "To Infinity & Beyond!"

Learning Objectives:

• Learners will explore the use of ultrasound technology in the acute care setting.
• Learners will identify the various opportunities and scenarios to utilize point-of-care ultrasound in the emergency department.
• Learners will develop the understanding and skills needed to utilize point-of-care ultrasound in their clinical practice of medicine.
• Learners will be able to improve care in the acute/emergent care setting by using point-of-care ultrasound appropriately.
• Learners will achieve improved patient outcomes in acute care and emergent care settings with awareness and understanding of point-of-care ultrasound and its uses.

Accreditation Statement:  Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.
