Dr. Peter Eum is an Integrative Medicine Specialist with a passion for blending conventional medical treatments with holistic, lifestyle-focused care. He attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated in 2015. Dr. Eum completed his Internal Medicine and Quality and Patient Safety residencies at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He then completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California, and a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he focused on merging traditional rheumatology practices with lifestyle interventions. Dr.Eum is also trained in medical acupuncture, offering alternative pain management techniques to his patients. He is a staff Rheumatologist at the VA Pacific Islands Healthcare System and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Eum is board-certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Rheumatology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Eum has successfully implemented integrative care plans that incorporate diet, exercise, mindfulness, and acupuncture. His innovative treatment strategies have led to significant improvements in the health and well-being of his patients. Dr. Eum is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through integrative approaches, particularly in the management of chronic autoimmune diseases, fibromyalgia, and PTSD.
Dr. Eum’s contributions extend to academic and clinical research, with numerous publications in leading medical journals. His dedication to medical education includes teaching at the University of Hawai’i and precepting resident physicians from the University of Hawai’i and Tripler Army Medical Center.

Dr. Steve Fern was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Fern earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He completed his internship at the Metropolitan Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, and his residency in Internal Medicine at Deaconess Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Dr. Fern is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Osteopathic Internal Medicine. He is also a diplomat for the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists.
Dr. Fern works for Specialists in Gastroenterology, LLC, in St. Louis, Missouri. He cares for adults with gastrointestinal disorders with an emphasis on colon cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barrett’s esophagus, and inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s Disease. His special interests include liver disease, including the treatment of patients with hepatitis C and esophageal motility disorders.
Dr. Fern is active in the teaching programs of several medical schools. He has lectured extensively on several GI topics locally, nationally, and abroad. He remains passionate about teaching physicians and health care providers about colon cancer, colon cancer screening, performance of a quality colonoscopy, and wireless capsule endoscopy. Dr. Fern is dedicated to staying current with the latest research because of the digestive system’s crucial role in helping a body stay healthy.
He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
Dr. Fern is married with three children. His leisure activities include reading, traveling, golfing, attending sporting and cultural events, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dr. Craig Kubik graduated from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, with a degree in biology. Dr. Kubik worked as a Respiratory Therapy Technician for the Genesee Hospital in Rochester, New York, and then entered medical school in 1981, earning a degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York, in 1985. He completed a rotating internship at Delaware Valley Medical Center in Pennsauken, New Jersey, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Kubik met his wife Sandra during training, and they eventually married and had three children: Molly, Michael, and Emily. Dr. Kubik is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Kubik also served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico, where he worked as a general internist from 1989 to 1992. During his service, he spent seven months in Saudi Arabia during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Upon returning stateside, Dr. Kubik was awarded a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. After the fellowship, he was stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, until he was honorably discharged with the rank of Major in 1996.
For the last 22 years of his career, Dr. Kubik has lived and worked in Waycross, Georgia. Dr. Kubik has served as President of the Georgia Osteopathic Medical Association and Chief of the medical staff at Memorial Satilla Health. He also holds volunteer faculty appointments at the Medical College of Georgia (Regents University) in Augusta, Georgia, and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Georgia Campus in Suwanee, Georgia. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and has lectured at numerous medical meetings.
One of Dr. Kubik’s passions is medical mission work. He has traveled to Kenya and Nicaragua to practice medicine and teach endoscopic techniques to local physicians. For the last sixteen years, he has been involved with developing and operating a free medical clinic in Southeast Georgia that serves the working poor and those who lack medical insurance. He serves as the volunteer medical director and is assisted by his wife, Sandy, a registered nurse. Dr. Kubik was honored in 2011 with the Jacobson Brotherhood Award for community service for his work and was elected to the St. John Fisher Science and Technology Hall of Fame.

Dr. Charlene LePane has been in the hospital setting, caring for patients for over 30 years, first as a high school hospital volunteer at the former Florida Hospital Orlando, then as a nurse, and eventually as a physician. She earned her bachelor of science degree at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, in 1998. She earned her Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in 1999. Dr. LePane graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2004. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, where she served as Chief Resident. She subsequently served as Chief Fellow during her Gastroenterology fellowship at St. John Oakland-Macomb Hospital in Michigan. In May 2024, Dr. LePane completed her MBA in Health Service Administration at Barry University in Miami, Florida. She has a particular interest in Health Care Informatics. She is dual board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. LePane is an AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) gastroenterologist and serves the Central Florida Division as a Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO). Her role as a CMIO provides her with an incredible sense of fulfillment as she leverages technology to improve provider satisfaction and patient outcomes. Prior to her appointment with AHMG, Dr. LePane served the greater Orlando area as a gastroenterologist at the Orlando VA Medical Center and as a community gastroenterologist in a private practice. She has been practicing internal medicine since 2004 and gastroenterology since 2008.
Dr. LePane has served as District 3 Florida Osteopathic Medical Association President and continues to serve as an alternate delegate for her region to the FOMA. She serves on the Board of Trustees for the American College of Osteopathic Internists. She is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. LePane was recently nominated as a Board member for the Kansas City University Alumni Association and is eager to give back to what was given to her during her journey.
Dr. LePane enjoys running marathons, volunteering for local charities, traveling, and spending time with her wife and family in her spare time.

Dr. Nicholas Mayer is a Nephrology Specialist in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Mayer completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Nephrology at St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Mayer is actively involved in developing value-based care for the nephrology specialty through his work as a partner at St. Louis Kidney Care, a subsidiary of Fresenius Practice Services (FPS) in St. Louis, Missouri. His work involves service as a medical director to FMC Acute Dialysis and a FMC Dialysis Unit in Normandy, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. In addition to his work with patient care through his practice, in 2017, Dr. Mayer was appointed to the United Healthcare Physician Advisory Committee, which he continues to serve on. He has also been an advisor to the ESSENCE CKD Physician Advisory Committee since 2021. Dr. Mayer is a member of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons (MAOPS) and serves on the Virtual CME Committee and the Convention Committee. He received the MAOPS District Leadership Award in 2019 and the Clinical Educator Award from FPS in 2023.
Dr. Mayer is the father of three girls who do their best to keep him humble. He enjoys socializing in his free time when he isn't driving his daughters all over the city.

Dr. Walter Mickey is a Critical Care/Neurocritical Care physician and the Medical Director of the Neurotrauma ICU for Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Mickey is board-certified in Neurocritical Care by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties and in Critical Care Echocardiography Testamur by the National Board of Echocardiography. In addition, he is board-certified in Critical Care Medicine and Internal Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists.

Dr. Scott Morin received his bachelor of science degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He graduated from medical school at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He graduated from the Maine Medical Center Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship program in 2008. Dr. Morin is an attending physician in Pulmonary/Critical Care at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, Maine. Dr. Morin is board-certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Morin has a special interest in COPD and asthma management and the development of a lung cancer screening program at Southern Maine Health Care. He has been a committee member for a MaineHealth thoracic oncology work group since 2017. That work includes developing successful lung cancer screening programs statewide.
Dr. Morin lives in South Portland, Maine, with his wife and two teenage boys. He enjoys being outside in nature and loves the rugged beauty and four-season climate of Maine.
