High-yield lecture focusing on currently recommended treatment options for CKD and how best to implement them.
Learning Objectives:
• Discuss the Common Final Pathway for CKD Progression
• Discuss Current Treatment Options for CKD
-- ACEi/ARB, SGLT-2 inhibitors, Aldosterone Receptor Antagonist, GLP-1R agonists
• Review SGLT-2 inhibitors MOA, advantages/disadvantages, and indications regarding CKD treatment
• Review ns-MRA MOA, advantages/disadvantages, and indications regarding CKD treatment
• Review GLP-1R agonists MOA, advantages/disadvantages, and indications regarding CKD treatment
• Discuss the current standard of care treatment options for CKD per KDIGO Guidelines

The event has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) through the joint providership of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) and Kansas City University (KCU) College of Osteopathic Medicine. AMA (Allopathic) Credit Designation:

Grievance Policy:
All grievances should be in writing and specify the nature of the grievance. Initially, a grievance should be directed to the KCU Continuing Medical Education Director, who will then forward said grievance to the CME Committee. Grievances should be emailed to the KCU CME Director. All grievances will receive an initial response from KCU within 30 days of receipt. KCU will resolve the grievance if possible.
If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response from KCU, they can then submit the grievance in writing to the KCU’s accredited sponsor, the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS). Grievances should be emailed to the MAOPS Executive Director. All grievances will receive a response from MAOPS in writing within 30 days of receipt. MAOPS will resolve the grievance, if possible.
If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response from MAOPS, they can then submit the grievance in writing to the Council on Continuing Medical Education of the AOA at 142 E Ontario St., Chicago, IL 60611.
