This presentation will review Manipulative Medicine Treatment Techniques for patients with sciatic nerve pain, including indications and contraindications for techniques and diagnoses that show benefit with OMT.
At the end of the workshop, the attendee will be able to:
• Diagnose somatic dysfunction in the lumbar spine, pelvis, and hip complex.
• Correctly apply the OMT techniques to the noted body region(s) and to discriminate indications and contraindications in their applications.
• Recommend appropriate exercises for the patient and articulate instructions so the patient can accurately demonstrate the exercise for the physician.
• Employ the correct application of coding for OMT procedures by the documentation of Osteopathic somatic dysfunction ICD-10 codes and CPT codes for OMT using a 25 Modifier.

Grievances should be emailed to the MAOPS Executive Director. All grievances will receive a response from MAOPS in writing within 30 days of receipt. MAOPS will resolve the grievance, if possible.
