Treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease in 2025: Biologics and Beyond VOC25


Learning Objectives:
•    Learners will be able to describe the prevalence, incidence, and underlying mechanisms of IBD, and possible risk factors.
•    Learners will be able to identify Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis by clinical evaluation (history and physical examination), laboratory data, imaging tests, and endoscopic evaluation.
•    Learners will be aware of the mimics of IBD and be able to formulate a working differential diagnosis.
•    Learners will be able to outline the available therapies for IBD.
•    Learners will be able to implement monitoring strategies for IBD activity, including clinical assessments, laboratory tests, and endoscopic evaluation.
•    Learners will be able to identify key preventative practices for IBD patients, such as proper nutrition, appropriate vaccination, and lifestyle modifications.
•    Learners will be able to implement strategies to enhance multidisciplinary teamwork in the management of IBD in clinical practice.

AOA Grievance Policy:
