Dysmenorrhea Demystified

• Explore common causes for painful periods.
• Summarize first line treatments for primary care.
• Discuss when to refer for specialist care.

ATSU designates this activity for a maximum of .25 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
Osteopathic Grievance Policy:
All grievances should be in writing and should specify the nature of the grievance. Initially, all grievances should be directed to the MAOPS Executive Director, who will then forward said grievance to the Education & Convention Committee. All grievances will receive an initial response in writing within 30 days of receipt. If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, they can submit a complaint in writing to the Council on Continuing Medical Education of the AOA at 142 East Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60611.
Dr. Melodie Stocks graduated from A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) in 2005. In 2009, after completing residency at Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon, Michigan, she moved to Moberly, Missouri to practice general obstetrics and gynecology. In 2012, she relocated to Kirksville, Missouri, to work with the Northeast Missouri Health Council (NMHC), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). She is board certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG) and is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). She is a preceptor for residents and students at Northeast Regional Medical Center (NRMC) in Kirksville. In her free time, she likes hanging out with her 3 kids, traveling, and gardening.
